Jerry Yan Praise Ella as Adorable, Not Worry of Romance Gossips in Debut Collaboration


F: Yeah! Let’s ring the bell to symbolise successful filming for “Just”! Ever high viewer ratings!

VO: The new idol serial starring Jerry Yan and Ella – “Just Want to Depend on You” is going to start filming soon. They specially arranged for a press conference on the 1st day of May. With regard to their first collaboration, both Jerry and Ella expressed their elation and anticipation.

E: (playfully to tease R) Exactly, those whom I partnered with before in serials, are now heavenly kings. (all laugh including the cast) Thus, I do bring good luck to others in my life, to bring prosperity to others… (teases J about their collaboration, as J smiles) So, what do you think, ok.

J: (refers to E) She is a very adorable little girl, and attractive personality.

E: (shy) Thank you.

VO: Usually, the male and female leads’ relationship would be used as a gimmick in promoting serials. However Jerry and Ella had no qualms about their relationship being speculated as romance gossips.

E: (in retort to reporters, teases J) Oh, then you have to be careful. Don’t fall for me. Let me advise you against it, ok. (J has an adorable expression as though trying not to laugh, while E continues to joke) Usually, the male leads partnering me ended up falling for me… Excuse me… (all laugh)

R probably ask Jerry if he would be worried to have romantic rumours with Ella.

J: (tactfully) No. To be rumoured in romance with such an adorable girl should be… quite nice.

E: (quickly exclaims, to prevent reporters from asking further awkward question) AH! (jokingly to change the mood) I felt I’ve been wooed! (all burst out laughing, including J) I just felt being wooed for a split second. It felt nice.

VO: Although Jerry had clarified that he was merely good friends with female lead - Terri Kwan of his previous drama, his charms are really irresistible. Even Ella was captivated by his charisma. It seemed that their sparks would once again captured the media and everyone’s attention.

“Just Want to Depend on You” – Jerry Yan, Ella just like Family

New pairing in idol serial – “Just” held its press conference this afternoon.
The biggest topic is none other than Idol Serial First Male Lead – Jerry Yan & Viewer Ratings' Queen Ella’s collaboration.
The serial will also include Michael Zhang Xun Jie, Xiao Xian, Amanda Zhou Xiao Han and Gu Baoming etc.

The storyline is akin to a modern-Cinderella fairy tale. Scenes will filmed in beautiful Taiwan, and picturesque Hangzhou, China. In the serial, Jerry will play a lethal-tongued lawyer, who is not only eloquent but also sharp with his speech. Jerry shared that he had specially attended lessons in preparation for this serial. In the drama, Ella who would be mistaken as a lesbian, shared, “The script is very interesting and funny. I like it the moment I read about it.’

The first collaboration between the heavenly king and queen, leaves everyone speculating about the sparks onscreen. When probed by journalists on “Having worked with many heavenly kinds, how do you feel collaborating with Yan Shuai this time?” In response, Ella replied wittily and joked, “This in my ‘debut’ collaboration with a heavenly king. The co-stars whom I filmed with before, became heavenly kings after our collaborations!” Her bubbly and humorous disposition warmed the atmosphere; meanwhile Jerry also praised Ella for being very adorable and forthright.

Flashlights were snapping non-stop during the press conference and there was the lively Xiao Xiao Bin, who was not camera-shy, and this made Jerry beamed even brighter. When Jerry, Ella and the 2 adorable kids were requested for a photo-shoot, Ella just carried Xiao Xiao Bin. The 4 of them resembled a family in harmony.

After the event, the cast got together to jointly ring the bell symbolising bliss, to wish for a smooth filming ahead; in anticipation of creating the next Asian Chinese idol serial fairy tale.

ELLA Had Surgery to Remove Tonsils, Dreams of Frying it to Eat

Often plagued by tonsillitis (infection / inflammation of the tonsils), ELLA was hospitalised for 5 days some time back after a surgery to remove her left and right tonsils. She had undergone general anaesthesia (GA) for the surgery and was still feeling weak and barely awake, when she felt nature’s call. In the end, she could only rely on the nurses to bring the bedpan. However when she was fully awake and could not find the surgically removed tonsils, her humourous nature emerged again, “Such a pity. I was still thinking of frying them like salted-crisp-chicken style, after all I’ve never tasted human meat before.”


Unable to Withstand Repetitive Tonsillitis

Before the surgery, ELLA was working under a hectic schedule within a year, resulting in tonsillitis 6 times in a year. During then, she experienced difficulties swallowing her saliva, having a strange foreign taste. The conditions were so severe that she needed to visit the hospital to drain the subcutaneous nodules that had resulted. Hence the doctor advised her to go for tonsillectomy (surgerical procedure to remove the tonsils). While she laid on the bed in the operation theatre and the nurses joked with her (to ease the tension), she just said, “I know you are going to administer the GA, go ahead.” The surgical procedure took almost 3 hours and accordingly to post-surgical practice, she had to stay in the hospital for observation for 5 days before discharge.

Post-surgery, as she must not aggravate her wounds unnecessarily, ELLA could only eat foods that can be swallowed easily such as ice, pudding or jelly. Her weight further reduced by 2kg. Earlier on, when a fellow artiste, formerly from her company – Ah Sang, and a fellow colleague passed away, ELLA felt strongly the importance of health. She urged for all those who experienced discomfort and feel sick to go for a proper check-up to ascertain the causes. She also cited the example of her mother who refused to go for tooth implantation in order to save NT$90,000. In the end, her mother’s tooth decay worsened and had to spend NT$260,000 instead to rectify the problem!
